"A Night on the Town" is a one-hour radio program celebrating the history of the Broadway Musical produced by George Harter.George created the show in 1980 while working as an announcer at Kansas City's classical station featuring vintage Broadway, and quickly became Kansas City's top-rated local weekend program.

Oscar Hammerstein did have a career before he teamed with Richard Rodgers for Oklahoma! in 1943,
and was responsible for many theater innovations that led to how the modern musical is constructed.
